Menu Plan Monday

I can't believe it is Monday already. I'm late, too. I usually have this all ready to go. We're trying to use what is in the pantry and freezer over the next month. I want to make sure there is extra budget money for an amazing Christmas feast.

Monday: Roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, green beans. Apple pie for dessert

Tuesday: I'll use the roast on sandwiches with sauteed onions and provolone cheese. I'll sautee the onions, add Worcester sauce, toss in roast pieces and put on a buttered, toasted bun.

Wednesday: Roasted Chicken legs, oven fries, salad

Thursday: Italian Sausage pasta. Roast the sausage links, green peppers and Onions until caramelized, toss with cooked pasta, top with jar of sauce OR sometimes we do butter and parm. cheese. crusty french bread.

Friday: Sour Cream Chicken over noodles. Peas and rolls.

Saturday: Payday and Grocery day. Fajitas

Sunday: Chili and corn bread

Lunches: Peanut butter sandwiches, leftovers

Breakfasts: Oatmeal, eggs in a basket, cereal, waffles, pancakes.

Have a great week! Did I mention we put our Christmas Tree up already? Um, yeah. My husband got everything out of the attic and well, he thought it had been a long year and since we were using the fake tree anyway, we might as well have time to enjoy it all! I put my foot down at putting lights outside yet, though. At least wait until next weekend!

Madagascar 2 had a cute storyline - but I wasn't feeling so well. I would have preferred to have been home and in bed. So the lack of comment was likely more due to my inability to concentrate and really enjoy it than the movie not being good. The kids all liked it.

The sour cream chicken sounds like something my family would love. Gonna try it. :) ~~Rhonda

If I lived closer to you, I would be asking for dinner invites all week! Looks great!

I've always wanted to try yorkshire pudding, but never have. Does yours always come out good?

I'm so not ready to put our Christmas tree up yet, but I know I'm going to have to get on it soon since there's not much time between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year...
